Hi,
We're not there yet, but this afternoon I'll start uploading
11.1 to the stage server.
Some numbers:
31G distribution/11.1/ (the deltas are not there yet, will add ~2G)
15G source/distribution/11.1/
12G debug/distribution/11.1/
The public release is due on 18th.
BTW: we considered moving the source/ and debug/ of 11.0 and lower into the
subtrees too. Would this be fine with you? 11.0 is currently 62G and we would
remove around the same amount as with 11.1
Greetings, Stephan

Hi,
I opened up the permissions, so that the mirrors can fetch the new
permissions. We will publish (and add akamai at 2pm CET).
Greetings, Stephan

Hi,
just a quick note - I don't know if Coolo has already mentioned it:
openSUSE 10.2 (http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/10.2/)
will soon be removed from our staging server, since it is not maintained
anymore.
Whoever wants to keep it, should put a copy away now. Possibly add
yourself to http://en.opensuse.org/Mirrors_Discontinued_Releases
so that users can find it.
Sorry, I can't tell you a date for the removal at the moment, but I
thought I'd better write it now, before it is forgotten, over releasing
11.1 and Christmas.
Thanks a lot,
Peter

Hello,
Two questions:
- when will be the torrent files available? I already loaded the DVD
images to a torrent server with gigabit uplink...
- when will 11.1 be opened for the world? (so I dont' need to rsync in
every few minutes :-) )
Bye,
CzP

So would take make in total around 200GB or 300GB for the
rsync://stage.opensuse.org/opensuse-full-with-factory-dvd5/opensuse/
which doesn't have source or debug now?
That would be still OK at nic.funet.fi but in general the total amount
needed during change and long term would be
the things I and probably others would like to see. I suppose 10.3 would
disappear at some point after 11.1 is out?
I've also changed the rsync script now to take it directly from stage
to /pub/mirrors/download.opensuse.org at
20:53 and 4:53 local time (UTC+2 now) and the rsync runs on a different
account from the ftp and www servers.
Also the older URLs still work. In the process the ppc got removed, I'm
not sure if there was a great demand for it, but if needed I could
consider taking it back later in a way that it doesn't clash with the
other rsync...
Currently the mirror seems to be nearly finished.

There will be a brief outage of several parts of the opensuse.org
infrastructure tomorrow, Thursday the 11th of December, at
11:00 German time / 10:00 UTC.
It will affect
* download servers,
* mirror stage server,
* subversion/git server.
The downtime is expected to be 5-15 minutes.
Apologies for any inconveniency this may cause.

Hi,
I mentioned it in the RC1 thread, but wanted to say
it explicitly:
Currently /factory is disabled, but the next sync
will split the debug repo into /debug/factory/oss (moved
from /factory/repo/debug
the debug repo is very large and is needed only by a
small portion of users, so it's ok if this is mirrored
only by very few mirrors.
We'll very likely only enable the factory repos only
after or during the weekend.
Greetings, Stephan
