There is almost no opensuse traffic on our mirror any more. Can someone
add/enable our mirror in the mirrorbrain database again?

Hi list,
Early this year, Novell China helped a university for a 1.5T storage media, as a
return the university set up an openSuSE mirror on this storage media.
Since this machine is inside CERNET, even I can not connect to it. This morning
a student verified the speed, the downloading is very fast (230kB/s ~ 1MB/s).
Here is the brief information of the mirror:
IPv4 domainname: oss.ustc.edu.cn (addr 211.86.156.206)
IPv6 domainname: oss6.ustc.edu.cn (addr 2001:da8:d800:356:219:d1ff:fe01:ee82)
>From the layout of top directoy, it seems distribution/factory/update are
mirrored. openSuSE mirrors can be accessed under /opensuse directory of each
machine.
The admin of this host can be contacted by zhanjian(a)ustc.edu
Thanks to Zhanjian from USTC, Fengguang Wu from Intel OTC, and Alex Lau from
Novell China R&D.

Hi,
We're not there yet, but this afternoon I'll start uploading
11.1 to the stage server.
Some numbers:
31G distribution/11.1/ (the deltas are not there yet, will add ~2G)
15G source/distribution/11.1/
12G debug/distribution/11.1/
The public release is due on 18th.
BTW: we considered moving the source/ and debug/ of 11.0 and lower into the
subtrees too. Would this be fine with you? 11.0 is currently 62G and we would
remove around the same amount as with 11.1
Greetings, Stephan

Hi list,
Today the member of BLUG (Beijing Linux User Group), Funda Wang, told me he
already setup an openSuSE mirror inside the university he works for.
This machine is inside CERNET (China Education and Research Net), for users
inside CERNET, the downloading speed is much faster than lizardsource.cn
(100kB/s VS. 60kB/s). For users out of CERNET but inside China mainland, the
download speed could be 50kB/s in average.
I tested only http service available now, the repository URL is
http://fundawang.lcuc.org.cn/opensuse/
This machine mirrors
- distribution/11.1
- factory/repo
- update/11.1
CD img downloading is provided, no DVD img downloading.
I tried to publish this mirror on a wiki page (which I remember can list
available mirrors world wide), but could not find this page. Can any body help
me to announce this mirror on one of these URL:
- http://mirrors.opensuse.org/list/11.1.html
This guy can be contacted by fundawang(a)gmail.com
Thanks for the help in advance.
