I don't think it makes sense to mirror everything. Many files are see so
little traffic that mirroring them costs way too much. And now I'm really
puzzled what your intention is - you strarted the thread with "remove all
mirrors" and now you want even more stuff noone downloads?

Hello,
We just replaced our mirror server and sync requests will now come from '94.75.223.121' instead of '94.75.223.123'.
Please allow this IP to sync from 'stage.opensuse.org' and update the repositories push address.
As we now also have a mirror server in Germany and will install a server in the USA shortly, the new hostname of this
machine will be 'mirror.nl.leaseweb.net', a CNAME record for mirror.leaseweb.com has been created and the bandwidth
has been upgraded from 2GE to 4GE.
Kind Regards,
LeaseWeb

Since a few weeks I cannot see our mirror in the mirrorlist any longer:
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.4/iso/openSUSE-11.4-DVD-x86_64…
any reason why mirror.hs-esslingen.de is missing?

Hi,
Let the games begin: I'm preparing Milestone 1 at the moment and will
release once I have it on widehat as I don't expect high interest in it
(the list of known bugs is impressive :)

Hi.
On the night of 05/30 there was a failure of services ftp.linux.kiev.ua,
judging by previous cases - due to overloading the disk subsystem. We
are working on clarifying and recovery.

Hello,
I've requested assistance with mirrorbrain pushing to
anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk last week and received no response.
I can already see that there aren't many mirrors of /repositories
around Europe left, we're being last for the UK too as far as I can see.
Is it possible that someone at Suse to looks into this push issue?
We're keen on resolving this whatever means necessary but if there's no
cooperation from Suse's end then we'll probably have to re-think our
participation in mirroring /repositories.
Regards,

I see that *Factory* is excluded for your mirror, that explains a good share
of what I see as it matches the project name - one of the most busy ones
actually.

That's the _current_ status, not the one the user saw.
If you could find out a pattern of files that is causing a lot of rsync
traffic, but few http traffic, we can easily add this to the exclude pattern.
I can imagine e.g. home:/ having a bad ratio.
If you have no time for that, perhaps you dig out a the http traffic logs for
a given day (weekday preferred), so I can match it against the repos pushed to
you.
I can also offer that we offer a push mode only containing popular software
gathered from our redirect logs. That should increase your http/rsync ratio
too :)
