There is some maintenance to be done in the following areas of our
openSUSE infrastructure:
* rsync.opensuse.org
* widehat.opensuse.org
* tube.opensuse.org
We've a replacement host as failover during the downtime, so you
shouldn't notive the downtime in the best case (it's just an IP-Address
switch). But as the replacement host has a different IP-Address and
some Administrators may using hardcoded IP-Addresses to sync from
rsync.opensuse.org, maybe you are affected.
We will reinstall widehat.opensuse.org (IP: 62.146.92.202) on Wednesday,
2009-12-09 and need to resync the whole mirror content again before we
can switch back again. As the content is currently about 1.4 TB, this
might need some time (planned: Friday, 2009-12-11).
During the downtime, a new "widehat.opensuse.org (IP: 195.135.221.145)
serves the whole content - so again: it's not a real downtime, just an
IP-Address switch.
