Hi Marcus, I am trying to build an armv5 image for Raspberry Pi with a FAT32 boot partition but the partition flag is wrong. It is 83 (Linux) instead of 0C (FAT32 LBA). Any idea why? Hi, I've tested the current 12.2 images from http://download.opensuse.org/ports/armv7hl/distribution/12.2- untested/appliances/ on panda and it looks good enough for me. Are there any blockers for 12.2 final release known? if so please speak up. I'll remove the efikamx image as it hasn#t been fixed yet as far as I know,but otherwise the 12.2 RC2 image set would be released. So, just a heads up that if anybody likes to play with 64-bit ARM, the glibc should be ready... [opensuse-arm] Cubox Image not working?

I'm having a problem with the CuBox image referenced from http://www.solid-run.com/mw/index.php/OpenSUSE_on_CuBox - I downloaded it, extracted it and dd'd it on to the SD card. After inserting the SD card and connecting up a USB cable, I inserted the CuBox power cable. The result was that the CuBox s red LED started blinking. I had _no_ /dev/ttyUSB to connect to, so can't debug anything. The CuBox was working fine with a debian image on the same SD Card up to an hour ago - so I wonder if our 12.2 image is somehow different... [opensuse-arm] kernel-firmware for amrv5?

Hi, kernel-firmware needs kernel-default to be built but amrv5 has no kernel-default, so kernel-firmware is not buildable. Kernel-default seems to be used to add some firmwares to the package. I guess kernel-firmware should be useful for armv5, so we have 2 solutions: * 1st: add -default kernel flavour for armv5. (but which flavour will be the default?) * 2nd: add a package overlay in Factory:ARM (a local patch) to build kernel-firmware without kernel-default deps. What would be the best? Hi, folks. I am a bit lost reading all the comments for improving the configurations for the various ARM processorboards. I have installed the "initial" version of OS 12.x on my raspberri pi board for preliminary tests. 1. I would like to know which is the actual version in order to test it. 2. Further question: does this new version include also the ax25-files or can i use the 12.2. files of the standard OS version (refer to "repositories/hamradio"? Hi, I tested quickly JeOS and XFCE beagle images on a beagleboard xM. YaST firstboot is launched, so it is very nice to have a configured board. But it is launched on the serial port and not on the DVI output. Is it configurable? I guess it is launched on the debug console? It could be nice to have it on serial for JeOS and on graphical user interface on XFCE image. Moreover, XFCE (and X) is (are) not launched automatically on boot. I needed to do a "sudo startxfce4". Hi Marcus, I'm wondering how the kiwi initrd determines which drivers need to be included in the initrd. To be precise, I'm missing the drivers/mtd directory which renders the vexpress image unusable, because it doesn't contain disk drivers ;). Do you manually pick modules during the creation of the initial kiwi initrd? With a quick look at the source code on : https://github.com/openSUSE/kiwi I guess we must create a system/boot/armv5tel/* (or armv5el?) using armv7l/* as template? Not sure if it is enough. We will fix that glitch in future. But please test it on some real armv5/6 hardware like the Rhasberry PI. Hi, Now MLO and u-boot are correctly installed in image but I have a new problem with Factory JeOS beagle image. First strange thing is that on first boot (at least), clocks seem to be bad. cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep BogoMIPS returns 175.65 (instead of 262.08) when idle, and cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep BogoMIPS returns 467.41 (instead of 700.57) when full. Moreover, Eth0 is detected but does not get any connection (and LEDs stay off).
