openSUSE for QSMP-1570

Hi All, My company is building a product that uses QSMP-1570 module from KaRo Electronics (https://www.karo-electronics.com/qsmp) and the modules itself is based on STM32MP1 processor from ST. They have application software that works on standard openSUSE 15.3 distro and Intel based board. They now want to build similar product based on the QSMP-1570 module and prefer to use openSUSE again so that the application does not need to get ported to a new Linux distro. The module itself comes with full Linux support using Yocto. My task now is to research the feasibility of spending the time to port openSUSE to the QSMP-1570 module. I have experience with Yocto/openEmbedded and embedded Linux, but have never used and build openSUSE before. Where should I start looking? What's your opinion - how hard would it be to make openSUSE work on this board? Thanks in advance. Best regards, Panayot

qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb"

Since Arm Tumbleweed snapshot 20221122 I have not been able to run any application on Wayland on my Pinebook Pro. QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1 ends with this error Got keys from plugin meta data ("xcb") QFactoryLoader::QFactoryLoader() checking directory path "/usr/bin/platforms" ... loaded library "/usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/platforms/libqxcb.so" qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found. This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalli ng the application may fix this problem. Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, wayland-eg l, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, xcb. I've tried reinstalling everything to do with xcb but it didn't help. X11 works fine problem is just on Wayland Has anybody got a solution? Kind Regards Mike

openSUSE microOS (the Tumbleweed-based one) on Pine64: Intermittently hangs during reboots in "BIOS"

Hi all, I recently installed openSUSE MicroOS on a Pine64 (LTS or whatever it is called). Installation was a breeze, but now intermittently it hangs during reboots. It hangs in the "BIOS" boot phase, aka before grub is started and the OS takes over. I get errors like these when I open the serial console once I notice the hang: Unknown command 'jT)HL' - try 'help' => Seems like it fails to properly detect that there is no PXE/tftp to boot from and it should really boot from the sdcard. Or something else makes it stop the autoboot and enters 'jT)HL' as command. Unfortunately I failed to find proper instructions on how to disable PXE boot and nail it down to only boot from sdcard. Did anyone experience similar issues? Any ideas? Hi all, After a couple of "zypper dup's ago, I noticed that direct after the default option in grub, the screen went black after the subsequent loading. Until last week, I could continue by selecting in grub an older kernel (6.0.3 afaicr) Now however, the default image, but 6.0.7-1 and 6.0.8-1 yield the same results: It boots and loads initrd, but screen turns black, and no desktop appears any more, even after waiting for hours. According to the leds of the rpi (and the heat-sink) it is up-and running. Hi, I am trying to migrate my 15.2 armv7l installations to 15.3, and I cannot figure out if it is anyhow usable. It seems that updates are not published (existed?) for 15.3 armv7l architecture. To check this I've downloaded openSUSE-Leap-15.3-ARM-JeOS-efi.armv7l-2021.05.31-Build8.31.raw image and started it in qemu/kvm.
