Hi,
It would be great if dtb-source version were in sync with the kernel
one. What do you think, is it worth to reimplement dtb-source, using
buildrequires: kernel-source instead of using linux tarball?

Yesterday I installed kernel-source - I was surprised to see that the
source tree didn't contain any Makefiles? What else do I need to
install?

Hi,
today I tried the latest 13.1 Chromebook-Image (1.12.1-Build33.12) from
[1] and it boots, repartitions the SD card and starts up YaST2. Great!
Unfortunately, the system then does not accept any keyboard input - I had
to hard reboot (Refresh-Power). Afterwards I couldn't boot from the SD
card anymore, the Chromebook beeps and kicks be back to the first boot
screen.

Hi Marcus,
I am trying to get my Chromebook ARM working with openSUSE 13.1. I managed to get the JeOS image booting the first time but once SD card is repartitoned, I cannot boot anymore.
Parted gives some infos on my SD card:
* For working image:
********************************************************************************
Model: Generic- SD/MMC (scsi)
Disk /dev/sdb: 4013MB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: gpt_sync_mbr
Number Start End Size File system Name Flags
1 1049kB 34,6MB 33,6MB U-BOOT
2 35,7MB 245MB 210MB ext3 lxboot
3 247MB 1007MB 759MB ext4 lxroot
********************************************************************************
* For broken image (after repartitioning):
********************************************************************************
Model: Generic- SD/MMC (scsi)
Disk /dev/sdb: 4013MB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: gpt
Number Start End Size File system Name Flags
1 1049kB 34,6MB 33,6MB U-BOOT
2 35,7MB 245MB 210MB ext3 lxboot
3 247MB 3488MB 3240MB ext4 lxroot
4 3488MB 4013MB 525MB linux-swap(v1) lxswap
********************************************************************************
The strange thing is we have a "gpt_sync_mbr" partition table for the OBS image and after a first boot, we have a "gpt" partition table. Any idea why?
Any idea how to fix that?

Hi Dirk,
There are only 4 ARM builders on OBS right now. Could you enable more ARM builders, please?

Hi, all:
I compile the 3.14 RC3 kernel with omap2plus_defconfig,
but the factory image complains the kernel config, can not boot the console.
so could I have pointer to the kernel .config perhaps?
Here is the serial port output:

Hi,
Xen is broken on all ARM configs on master branch.
On ARM, when you enable xen (CONFIG_PARAVIRT_XEN=y), this lead to a compilation problem:
********************************************************************************
[ 3509s] CC arch/arm/kernel/asm-offsets.s
[ 3510s] In file included from /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-default-3.14.rc6/linux-3.14-rc6/arch/arm/include/asm/io.h:31:0,

[ 3510s] from /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-default-3.14.rc6/linux-3.14-rc6/include/linux/dma-mapping.h:9,
[ 3510s] from /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-default-3.14.rc6/linux-3.14-rc6/arch/arm/kernel/asm-offsets.c:15:
[ 3510s] /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-default-3.14.rc6/linux-3.14-rc6/arch/arm/include/asm/dma-mapping.h: In function 'get_dma_ops':

[ 3510s] xen_start_info && xen_start_info->flags & SIF_INITDOMAIN)
********************************************************************************
Maybe because of this patch: http://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-devel/2013-07/msg01833.html
Then, in "include/xen/interface/xen.h" file, "struct start_info" is not defined since XEN_HAVE_PV_GUEST_ENTRY is only defined for x86.
I tried vanilla 3.14-rc6 and there is no problem. So, the problem is in openSUSE xen patches.
Note that in arch/arm/{Kconfig,Makefile}, vanilla kernel uses CONFIG_XEN whereas openSUSE has CONFIG_PARAVIRT_XEN instead.
I will send a patch to disable Xen on ARM for now until this problem is solved.
