[opensuse-arm] Notes from the team call

Aloha, There were a few attendees on the call. * The call centred around requirements for ARM to be included in 13.1. * There is now only 1 Trello board being used[0], the AArch64 board has been closed. + A new list has been added for 13.1 + The board needs a tidy up. If people can update cards that would be great! * Plan is to release ARM alongside x86 on release day * Looking at having ARMv7 & ARMv8 support included in distro * Board support will potentially be smaller than what we targeted for 12.3 + This depends on how well TI device support remains upstream + Only upstream supported devices will be part of the official release, Contrib devices will continue * As 13.1 will be the base for SLE12, we *must* make sure all submissions are done in time. + All new features must be submitted as early as possible, fixes can be done after feature freeze. [opensuse-arm] vexpress support

Hi, is there any reason that vexpress support is not in 12.3 ? In Factory, JeOS-vexpress/XFCE-vexpress is not supported by our pre-checkin script, so no updates occurs. We may just need to re-enable it, since it is useful to run openSUSE with qemu. Otherwise, we could maybe just use highbank image since it seems to be supported by qemu. Hi dirk, there are some broken links since you moved openSUSE:Factory:ARM:* to devel:ARM:Factory:* For example, in devel:ARM:12.3:Contrib:RaspberryPi, you have raspberrypi-firmware and kernel-raspberrypi. Hi, as a result of much improved Build Service security it was no longer possible to build signed packages in projects below openSUSE:Factory:ARM:. I've therefore decided to rename the projects that existed there to devel:ARM:Factory:Contrib, where the security settings are less strict. All data is hopefully correctly preserved.
