I'm trying to learn glade. autogen.sh failed on my first try; giving the error
./configure: line 4068: syntax error near unexpected token `PACKAGE,'
./configure: line 4068: `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(PACKAGE, $pkg_modules)'
Then i learned that i had to install pkgconfig; i did so; but this time
autogen gave the following error:
checking for gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.0... Package gtk+-2.0 was not found in the
pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtk+-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gtk+-2.0' found
configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.0) not met; consider
adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a
nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.
How do i have to set PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable?
Thanks in advance.
Any recommend a good book on Python? I'm interested in embedding Python
in C++ and already program in C, C++, basic, fortran, Perl, forth, APL,
assembly, Pascal and java so don't need anything too basic.
I tried to use Anjuta for the first time; and when creating a libglade
project, i got the following errors:
The project was not successfully auto generated. Please run autogen.sh
Unable to create file: /home/oguz/Projects/test1/setup-gettext.
System: No such file or directory
A .glade file does not exist in the top level Project directory
And in the log window:
Error: Directory '.' does not look like the top-level directory.
Thanks in advance.
What exactly is the difference between 'Cached' and 'Buffers' memory (as seen in /proc/meminfo and reported by free)? I have an application that reads large BerkeleyDB style database files. Where would I see the reads cached under, 'Cached' or 'Buffers'?
Sorry if this not a list for this type of questions, but I can't get an answer anywhere else.
Thanks in advance to everyone who replies!
