Hi, Doug:
Since the change to the new Editor interface, it appears the newsfeeds
might not be going out as they are supposed to.
I do not know if that is related to the change, or just coincidence.
Neither of these have appeared in the Forums feed, they also are no
longer appearing under "News" at https://www.opensuse.org/ nor have I
noticed them anywhere else:

The link on https://www.opensuse.org/ to News under that section also is
missing.
Although, the News link at the very bottom of the page is still working.

[BAD]
Not the first time this has happened. Last instance was only last month. I constructed a bug,
apparently right when opensuse.org's latency[1] was unusually bad (on a weekend? why?):
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1121731
It took around 3-5 minutes to get a response from BOO from when I clicked submit. Possibly before
response arrived in browser,
bugmail for it and https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1121732 arrived, while the browser
displayed a bunch of red text on white background (or black text on red background?) basically an
are you sure you want to do this /again/ message. I had only clicked submit once, so have no idea
why the again inference.
This was early on a Sunday morning for the average European, late Saturday night for me, past time
I should have been in bed.
BTW, my last BOO new report doubling was barely a month ago:
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1118058https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1118059 [/BAD]
[GOOD]
So anyway, I slogged through the latency trouble to finally get to mark the duplicate, then before
I finally was able to get into bed, Stefan Dirsch had not only found my bug, he'd commented it
twice, and submitted a /usr/bin/xinit fix, and done so in (just) under 80 minutes from the submit
timestamp. Excellent![/GOOD]
I wonder what latency is for Stefan. :-)

Hi, Heroes:
It seems that several of our best Contributors in the openSUSE Project
do not have their openSUSE Membership, think that it is not important or
even that it is a "bother".
However, we would like to point out to those of you who do not have your
Membership, and who make other such important Contributions to
openSUSE, that a Healthy Project is only as Healthy as its Members.
And, especially important, Membership is required in order to vote for
the openSUSE Board.
We on the Elections Committee think that the people who should *most* be
taking part in the Voting process are the hard-lifters, such as the
Heroes, the Developers, the Maintainers, the Packagers, the project's
Coders, and all the Heavy Lifters.
Therefore, we appeal to those of you who do NOT have their Membership to
please apply:
Get your openSUSE Membership, it is important for a Healthy Project.

We know you are tremendously busy, but if any of you think you can spare
the time, we also would like you to consider running as a Candidate in
the 2018-2019 Board Elections.

We really would prefer not to see this:

Thank You,

HI!
After successfully connecting to openSUSE Infra net via OpenVPN the DNS
servers 192.168.254.101 and 192.168.254.102 are not reachable anymore.
Did the IP addresses change?
Ciao, Michael.
