Most of our mailing lists do not archive mails within mlmmj, only
externally - 86 of 123 lists. This means the functionality of
retrieving messages by number (get-NNNNN) is essentially disabled.
Unfortunately mlmmj does not handle the situation gracefully - the
requester receives nothing when it fails. No error message, nothing.
listcontrol.c:869: Unable to open archive file: No such file or
directory
On those 86 lists, it looks as if the archiving was switched off on 30
March 2015 - does anyone know why? I'm guessing maybe for lack of
space?
The functionality is probably not much used, but it is documented:
https://de.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mailinglisten#Einzelne_Nachricht_abrufen
Remarkably, it is not documented in the English version:
https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mailing_lists#Retrieval_of_messages_from_t…

Hello,
the next Heroes meeting is scheduled for sunday (Feb 5) at 15:00 CET
(that's 14:00 UTC).
Those who visit FOSDEM will probably meet somewhere[tm], and the poor
guys who had to stay at home can join over IRC ;-)
BTW: Google released the "Site Reliability Engeneering" book that
describes how Google runs its systems for online reading at
https://landing.google.com/sre/book.html
I didn't have time to look at it yet (except the TOC, which looks
promising), so if someone is faster in reading it, please give a short
summary if it's worth reading ;-)
Regards,
Christian Boltz

Hi there,
AFAIK Christian packaged everything we need to update MediaWiki to 1.27
and successfully runs the new version on his laptop already. What
prevents us from updating? Do we already have a test machine in our
infrastructure where interested wiki editors could play around?
Best regards,
Christoph
