Hi all,
I have been trying to install the driver for my modem Ambient
Technologies on linux suse 7.2 and I have found some problems.
I followed the instructions written in readme.txt was extract from
Intel-v92ham-440-S73.tgz. So I do the following steps:
1. login as ROOT
2. extract the archive into a directory with "tar -zxvf <archivename>.tgz"
3. cd into the directory it created.
4. Type: make clean
5. Type: make all
6. Type: make install
When I type make all, the followind message is displayed:
<--------------------------------------
usage: make [ham] or [536ep]
or [clean] or
or [install-ham] or [install-536ep]
--------------------------------------->
So I typed 'make ham' command in my bash console and the following
message is displayed:
<------------------------------------------------------------------
if [ -a /boot/vmlinuz.version.h ]; then \
cp /boot/vmlinuz.version.h /lib/modules/`uname
-r`/build/include/linux/version.h; ficp: cannot create regular file
`/lib/modules/2.4.4-4GB/build/include/linux/version.h': No such file or
directorymake: *** [ham] Error 1
------------------------------------------------------------------->
I checked the /lib/modules/2.4.4-4GB/build and it is a link to
/usr/src/linux-2.4.4.SuSE, but linux-2.4.4.SuSe does not exist in
my file system.
I am needing a help. Could anyone tell me about this?
Regards,
Lin.
