Hi there, the ham radio packages for openSUSE 10.3 are ready for download. Please download them at: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/hamradio/openSUSE_10.3/ or one of the numerous mirrors around the world. At the moment we (that's Jan-Simon, DL9PF and me, DG7GT) implemented 74 packages into the build service. So all the packages are ready for openSUSE 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 and even the outdated version SUSE 10.0! Also in future we will try to implement more packages. But it would be nice to get more feedback! Are the packages usable? If a package is broken, please write us an error report. If possible, we will try to fix the mistake or talk to the developer of the program. Suggestions for new packages are also welcome just like hints for old versions... Sogar für die betagte Version SUSE 10.0 sind die meisten Pakete verfügbar. Wir werden uns auch in Zunkunft bemühen, weitere Pakete zu integrieren. Es wäre aber sehr nett, wenn von den Nutzern etwas mehr Feedback käme. Sind die Pakete benutzbar? Wenn etwas nicht geht, dann schreibt uns gerne einen Fehlerbericht, wenn wir können, werden wir die Fehler beseitigen oder mit dem Entwickler des jeweiligen Programms Kontakt aufnehmen... Auch Vorschläge für neue Programme sind willkommen oder Hinweise auf veraltete Versionen... Linux and HiDef TV

Hey Group; I may being say goodbye to my old Hauppauge Model 401 pci buss TV/FM perfectly good card due to the FCC forcing HiDef down our throats. To that is there a good Linux PCI HiDef TV/FM card out there? As I remember at the first of 2009 this switch will take effect. The local FREE TV station will drop analog and go to the forced on the broadcaster and us HD TV. My guess is the US government is looking for fees, and taxes as income. new twclock release

Hi Version 2.7 of twclock has just been release and can be found at http://wa0eir.ham.org This version fixes a nasty little memory leak. There are also two new buttons for on line Help and About. Twclock will displays local, GMT, and the time in major cities around the world. It also has an alarm and ID timer. The alarm can be set to beep, flash, and/or send your call in CW via the soundcard. echolinux

Hey Group; Has anyone gotten echolinux-1.7a (as I remember) to compile properly? It seems that it has become too old to compile. I tried svxlink and it also seems to have problem. It did solve on issue with it on "-ltcl". Change it to "-ltcl8.4" and it works except for two source directories. problems with qtel

Hi, I have some problems with qtel on openSUSE 10.2. Every time I start it, I become the error that the device is busy. Any recommendation? I've installed from the hamradio repo in the buildservice.
