Doc,
See the HowTo at http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/DOS-Win-to-Linux-HOWTO.html for
the formatting info. However, since there is not (that I know of ) an
equivalent to the /s my opinion is to just reinstall SuSE 8.0 from the CDs and
let it repartition/format the disk for you. Even in Windows you have to
reinstall most of the OS from the CD since /s only makes the disk bootable.
Only in the "good ole days" of DOS did /s do something really useful!
Hope this helps.

Hi
I was wondering is there an other hams out there using kernel 2.4.19
with all the drivers compile in for the ham stuff etc as it seems the
kernel 2.4.16 i am using keeps locking up after some time on and i hear
there was suppose to be an fix for some things and this could be the
reason for my lockups
i dont have an config file for the 2.4.16 kernel as i put this one on by
the rpm that was at suse site so i am not sure in all i need compile in
i would need everything that is compile into the 2.4.16 now to have all
that i have working so any ideas how i can do this without messing things
up thanks
Bob
Hmm,
who *is* actually the owner of this list?

This might solve the challenge of how to readily get the images
from the Z's CF card camera out to a network real-time.
For other circumstances I suppose serial to cellphone or serial
to Amateur radio ATV/SSTV interface to a radio would get
the job done.

Guess I will have to make my own cable. No way will I permit a poorly
designed cable from Sharp to force me to abandon my serial port and
sacrifice my cf port to replace it!
Might it be possible to shave some excess rubber off the Sharp
cable to create room for the keyboard to open?
Anyone aware of a source of the connector? Or it is proprietary?

Don't know if this has been posted here yet but a new list
for Hams who own Sharp Zaurus SL5500 handheld pc's
has been created recently hamz(a)yahoogroups.com
Many of the members are also using SuSE 8.0 and are
actively pursuing successful syncing between the Z and
SuSE on their pcs.
