After a lot of "wasted" time trying to make a PSK31-QSO on
the HF-bands I checked PSK31 with a friend in the near on UHF!
First I wrote his transmission with KPSK - very fine!
Then I tried to transmit - He said "terrible signal!". My Signal was
very loud but there was only noise on the frequency!
After 1 hour I tried to transmit with gMFSK: All clear! Very fine
I believe, that this behaviour can't be affected by the soundcard!?!?!?
Can anybody help me, I want to use KPSK for PSK31, because it is
more convinient I think!
Looking for help!
Yours Peter, DL3VPZ.
PS: I've checked the KPSK-list for soundcard-problems but I think,
nothing belongs to my problem?!?
A little OT: Is there anybody out there using the FT-897 in digi-modes? I want
to know, if I must use DIG (with PSK31-U or PSK31-L) or USB resp. LSB to
transmit PSK-31-signals. I tried PSK-transmitting during the last three days,
but nobody gave me an answer to my CQ...!
TNX in advance!
I have never seen a email come from this list so I am just testing.

I know this has been asked before but I have not seen a satisfactory answer.
Has anyone got gpsk31, as provided with SUSE 9.1, working properly? I can see
that one needs to change the personal details within the config file, but is
there anything else I need to do? The comport setting appears to be correct
as I can trigger the transmitter by clicking the tx button but nothing
appears on the receive screen. And what about the frequency setting? The
default setting is 1000. Hz?
In case I get no answer to that, does anyone have another recommendation for a
good linux psk program? And if so, where to get it?
