I am having a problem getting Xastir to compile on Suse 9.1 as the
./configure script says it can not find the Motif devel files. Per Yast
they are installed. Even went so far as to remove Motif and install
Lesstif with the same results. As I am a fairly new user of Linux I
have no idea where to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have a link to some good docs on how to setup/configure
soundmodem? I got the program via yast but am already running into
problems. First thing I found is that the man pages are so minimal
as to be useless. Second thing is when I try to run soundmodemconfig I
get an immediate error about "can't open display". I have no idea where
to start on this one. Should I get the latest sources from the web and
compile them or is there a simple work around for this problem with the
official package from Suse?

Is anyone implimenting high speed (1Mb/sec or greater for end users)
WAN networking under amateur radio and linux or has this just died on
the vine for people's refusal to use anything faster than a shared
9600 baud channel on a porly architected network.
