Hello
This is just an email to find out the activities on this maillist, as Im
new on it.
Im a ham since 30 years ago Im running packet/AX-25 since 10 years ago.
Now I started to learn LINUX/Suse in order to use it together with
amateurradio. The first thing I will try to work with is as an server in
APRS, Automatic Position Reporting System.
So now - Are there any out there working with similar things, and if,
what?

Hello
As I am new on this Suse-list I am not quite shure, but it seems that by
default if You answer on a message received from the list, the answer
gos to the sender, not to the list. For me it seems like a systemfault,
and it might be the reason why the activity is low. Am I wright or
wrong?

Thanks for Your fine e-mail with informations.
There are mapsystems where You can connect a GPS-receiver, among them OZZI and
Fugawi. There are also a lot of programs on the webb You can get free. If You
mean to connect GPS with a handheld and map You can use UI-View. There are a
free version 2.32. In that program You can put maps in GIF and BMP formats.
UI-View You can find on http://welcome.to/uiview (Sorry to say but that
program only for Windows)
