Ham Radio Packages for openSUSE 10.3 // Amateurfunkpakete für openSUSE 10.3

Hi there, the ham radio packages for openSUSE 10.3 are ready for download. Please download them at: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/hamradio/openSUSE_10.3/ or one of the numerous mirrors around the world. At the moment we (that's Jan-Simon, DL9PF and me, DG7GT) implemented 74 packages into the build service. So all the packages are ready for openSUSE 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 and even the outdated version SUSE 10.0! Also in future we will try to implement more packages. But it would be nice to get more feedback! Are the packages usable? If a package is broken, please write us an error report. If possible, we will try to fix the mistake or talk to the developer of the program. Suggestions for new packages are also welcome just like hints for old versions... Have fun with the packages! 73 de Tim, DG7GT -- Tim Fischer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ham+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ham+help@opensuse.org

Thanks very much, Tim. This is great! -- Bob Smits bob@rsmits.ca VE7HS 8) Use common sense in routing cable. Avoid wrapping coax around sources of strong electric or magnetic fields. Do not wrap the cable around flourescent light ballasts or cyclotrons, for example. -- Ethernet Headstart Product, Information and Installation Guide, Bell Technologies, pg. 11 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ham+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ham+help@opensuse.org

Thank you, Tim and Jan-Simon, for the excellent work. It's much appreciated! And now I wish I had time to actually use it... :-( 73 de DL1BKE -- Joerg Reuter, Technical Support Engineer Novell Technical Services, Worldwide Support Services Linux SUSE LINUX GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, D-90409 Nürnberg; Phone: +49-911-74053-0 HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg), GF: Volker Smid -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ham+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ham+help@opensuse.org

Thanks Tim, I built a new 10.3 system yesterday and added that repo. Installation of Xastir was easy and slick..worked 100%..out of the box. 73, Ron VE1AIC --- Tim Fischer <mail0812@online.de> wrote:

Nice work, thanks. I had built quite a few. Echolinux refuses to work, no audio and svxlink hacked to build on 64-bit, but crashes, must ping Tobias again as I haven't seen anything new in the 2 weeks since he's been back from holiday.
