I noted this after trying to activate desktop 3D effects and getting an error message about "desktops effects are not supported on the current hardware". It would seem as though upgrades over NFS would be problematic! Při odesílání zprávy nastala chyba: Nepodařilo se získat heslo pro smtp.gmail.com. Zpráva nebyla odeslána. It means something like: Sending failed. While sending the message an error occured: Unable to obtain password for smtp.gmail.com. The message has not been sent. I wanted to reproduce with en_US, but it proceeds fine. All YaST .destop files in /usr/share/applications/YaST2 use the "X-KDE-SubstituteUID" to make them running as root. X-KDE-SubstituteUID is a KDE only "workaround" for that only KDE is supposed to be able to understand. Really, also GNOME as very famous DE understand that. Clicking "Computer -> Shutdown -> Restart", only restarts the gnome desktop rather than restarting the computer. Note that this also applies to the equivalent command of "Shutdown". Generally speaking the second or third attempt to "restart" will actually restart the computer. Running "shutdown -r now" from the commandline as root works all the time, so I imagine that there is some sort of problem higher up in the stack. This is why I filed this problem against "GNOME". I haven't got a clue as which log I should be posting, so please let me know. I checked M7 recently and noticed, that some descriptions for AppArmor modules are in English while all other text is well-displayed in selected language (russian in my case). I was kinda surprised with that cause I translated and committed these descriptions long ago. Moreover, some text strings in Russian displayed by zypper or Software Management module simply do not exist in trunc, being also fixed months ago. Is that SLE translations raising its head again or what? Please make sure that next release translations will be built from the latest opensuse trunc. An x86_64 machine with the same package version does not have this problem. The problem is, that I always get the following: NetworkManager: <info> Activation (cable) successful, device activated. NetworkManager: <info> Activation (cable) Stage 5 of 5 (IP Configure Commit) complete. ATTENTION: You have modified /etc/resolv.conf. Leaving it untouched... You can find my version in /etc/resolv.conf.netconfig ... reading the code, I guess that NetworkManager always thinks that run_netconfig has failed, thus updates resolv.conf on its own, and then, when netconfig finally wants to update resolv.conf, NM already has changed it and thus netconfig refuses to do so. I'll attach a log from running NM with "--no-daemon" which will also show some GLib-GObject-CRITICAL around this time, which might be related.
