Work report Klaas Freitag cw 34/2010 [RED] [AMBER] - got applications for the free position. Have to work on that. [GREEN] - joined Heckmeck on FrOSCon: Worked on the events plugin of ellg. Implemented that ical calendar files can be downloaded. - more conference organizations * Worked on the talk schedule with Gnokii, sent out confirmations * Set up Indico conference system [1] to evaluate using it for the conference. Hey, i did do the froscon hackmeck on the weekend, continued to hack on a openlayers geolocation plugin for elgg during the week and looked into the two search options Matthew enabled on the staging wiki. I also started to prepare news-dev for my crowdsourcing talk at the conference. On Friday we had a squad meeting to decide how to go forward with connect. I plan to bring all the info on the connect page into retrospectiva and get a testing instance online with a demo account so people can try it. I am no blocked by anything at the moment. - Internet at the office was down for a day (Monday) due to a problem at the ISV. With no internet connection at home either (due to moving to a new appartment) work was a serious challange that day :( - BNC#628346 came up again: discovered that a piece was missing from the PTF which was needed to make this work. After the PTF was corrected customer still complained that it did not work for him. Therefore installed SLES11 SP1 myself and verified that all required RPMs are contained in the two PTFs to make this feature work. Provided an easy to follow instruction how to install all parts required. I would appreciated if the L3 team would work more proactively and test things themselves. So far it looks like as if all activeties stop as soon as it is discovered that I am on the scene. - BNC#626657: started to investigate a little on this. - BNC#618476: customer had some further questions - investigated but did not have a chance to respond, yet. - Tried to familiarize myself with Elgg for the Froscon weekend, ran into various problems installing Elgg (due to incorrect documentation) was only able to sort parts of them out before leaving. - Briefly looked into the things to do for the openFATE sprint. - Participated in the Froscom weekend and the hack fest for 'Connect' the openSUSE social networking platform. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+unsubscribe(a)opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+help(a)opensuse.org

What I did: - mostly preparation for FrOSCon, getting know Elgg, playing with things trying to play with OBS api to see how hard is to implement some OBS widget (looks easy at first sight, but didn't succeeded in communication with OBS part) What I plan to do: - blog about FrOSCon - bugzilla & features, clarity and other non-boosting duties What I want to do: - continue playing with Connect - take a look at openSUSE Paste, finish documentation for my script, fix few small issues, ad support for localization, add paste to the umbrella menu, add support for pasting images - not sure if I will have time to do any of this, but I surely wouldn't have time to do everything from this list. -- Michal HRUSECKY SUSE LINUX, s.r.o openSUSE Boosters Team Lihovarska 1060/12 PGP 0xFED656F6 19000 Praha 9 mhrusecky[at]suse.cz Czech Republic http://michal.hrusecky.net http://www.suse.cz

There's a comment at http://lizards.opensuse.org/2010/08/22/opensuse-boosters- at-froscon-day-2/ offering to help from a 'Cash' who if we are lucky is the developer of the simplepie plugin. I'm going on holiday *right now* but can somebody (Pavol) get in touch with him either via the comments or try mods/simplepie/manifest.xml and get him on board? Lizards.o.o comments is giving me a 500 (bedtime in Utah error) right now so I couldn't reply to him directly.
