Hallo liebe Liste, ich habe mich eingetragen um mal hier zu fragen, was so der Stand der Dinge ist bei Linux und Screenreader-Software. Ich möchte eigene Projekte auf Barrierefreiheit testen, dazu aber, vor allem in der Arbeitsphase, nicht immer Windows booten müssen. Zumal ich einen lokalen Apache nutze und dann alles doppelt haben muß. Hat hier jemand schon mal probiert, JAWS unter Crossover Office von Codeweavers zu installieren? (Nach dem freien Wine wage ich nicht zu fragen, da bin ich sogar mit dem Internet Explorer gescheitert). Ich bin da ja skeptisch, weil JAWS meines Wissens auf irgendwelche internen Schnittstellen zugreift in Windows. Wie ist es mit emacspeak? Ist das eine empfehlenswerte Alternative, zumindest zum Testen? Von dem Sprachmodul unter Gnome höre ich leider keinen Ton. Ich habe hier übrigens Suse 9.1. Herzlichen Dank schon mal für Hinweise! SBL/SuSEConfig problem

Hi, I know this is a cup of tea which got a bit cool over time but: I can't get cursor routing to work on my machine : SuSE 9.1 PRO SBL 2.2-23 (FTP.ed from the 9.2 repository) kernel 2.6.5-7-145-default (updated by suse). Okay, I know you've got to deactivate UTF-8... So I tried changing the settings in /etc/sysconfig/language and /etc/sysconfig/keyboard accordingly and then run /sbin/SuSEconfig... However no matter what I do something overwrites my lc-variables. If any one knows the problem and has solved it I would be really thankful. Attached are my /etc/sysconfig files and the ouptut of locale run by root.
