Hello Jean-Paul,

I overlooked that one! I was already thinking about downgrading to a 2.2.x
kernel but did not realized one was packaged in the distribution.
Anyway, I loaded this kernel and it seems to work fine so far. Given that
with FBB the Linux almost crashed at instant (just after FBB sended its
beacons - I put trace info in FBB's drv_sock.c to see if it crashed at a
specific operation) and now it runs at least 30 minutes. I think the problem
is realy in the AX.25 support of the new 2.4.x kernel.
In the meantime I also found out that other AX.25 packages fail as well. I
have a small program to do reverse-forwarding (connection to the local BBS
and then fetching the articles lzhuf compressed and putting them in the
FBB's mail.in. This way the local BBS does not need forwarding rules setup
for me, I just pull it). Anyway, this program could run for a while but then
also ended up in the lockup I described.
Thanks for this suggestion, at least now I have something that runs until
the 2.4.x kernel is fixed.
Kind regards,
Henk.
