......................................................................................[done] At this point - several hours into the texlive install I started to run: while true; do sudo pkill -9 -f mktexlsr ; sudo pkill -9 -f mktexlsr; sudo pkill -9 -f xetex; sudo pkill -9 -f pdftex ; sleep 1; done to try to accelerate it. No idea why zypper dup insisted on installing all that lot. AFAICS the TeX packaging produces incredibly large installed sizes of packages - and I usually remove them all again - or as many as I can, simply to save space. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. on attached LaTeX document, run "latex doc" Actual Results: a lot of error messages about missing style files, particularly dashrule.sty, algorithm2e.sty, portland.sty, wrapfig.sty; see attached log file The actual error messages depend on the list of packages loaded. Expected Results: a nice DVI file The missing style files are called by packages algorithm2e, portland, dashrule, wrapfig.
