All attempts to install the latest Solaris in a vm have failed at me because it was impossible for Solaris to grab the mouse pointer qemu either being run with and without the '-usb -usbdevice tablet' options. Even booting into a usual debian installation via qemu raises problems at me. With the -usbdevice option the mouse pointer is viewed in a different position than it actually is and sending keyboard events is impossible. With the option the mouse pointer often starts to hang in the bottom or right edge of the screen. Shouldn`t a better mouse support just be a little step after improving the video hardware support? This breaks installations. Request that once you have decided to use --enable-spice flag in the building of qemu and kvm virtualization packages, that you do not revert back to not using it in successive builds otherwise updating using the rolling repository just breaks installations unnecessarily. Now yesterday there was this update with 900+ packages and among those a newer kernel 3.4.4-1. Now the system is back at the temp values of 12.1. Where does this regression come from, the kernel or KDE? Now my system runs at high 50 (57-60) when only firefox open, the previous version at low 50 (50-55). Windows runs at around 50 with the same kind of "almost idle" load which is still hot compared to my old duo2core but seems to be normal for the i5 processor, but it would be nice to keep the temperatures low because it gets pretty uncomfortable on a lap. The same happens on 12.1 and 12.2 This option in the installer seems to use the metapackage: patterns-openSUSE-minimal_base. This metapackage should be updated to install man. Installing man on top of the Minimal Server is roughly 25MB of packages to download and an extra 75MB of disk space. In addition it might be worth including the following packages as well: * sysstat * smartmontools I feel that these are important enough commands that they should be included in the minimal server pattern.
