Sometimes, when I come back I see only black screen and computer is unresponsive to mouse and keyboard. However, it is possible to login via ssh and kill Xorg, and then computer works fine till next X freeze. There is nothing unusual in Xorg.0.log and dmesg. Even i915_error_state is clean. I am using asus u30sd laptop, with intel sandybridge video. My OS is openSUSE 12.1 with X.Org from X11:XOrg and kernel 3.6-rc5. Xorg driver uses "SNA" acceleration method. Today was somewhat extreme - 4 raid arrays started up with only one of two disks/partitions. I think this first happened when I upgraded from 12.1 to factory (around 12.2 beta1). 12.1 didn't have this problem IIRC. The hardware is most probably OK - I don't see any log entries that point to disk failures, and I can re-add the missing disks/partitions with mdadm and they work without problems then.
