However, after installing to hard disk, the above resolution is no more available, the only one is 1280x1024. Desktop effects appear to run OK just like in LiveCD, but in KDM the user background in the box to the left is filled with weird colors. The selected on boot and working screen resolution should be copied and used after installing the system to HD. Many users would stick to nouveau but as for now installing proprietary drivers is necessary to normal use the system. My graphics card is GeForce 9800 GTX+. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run the system from LiveCD, selecting your normal screen resolution 2. Install on HDD 3. Run from HDD and try to set previous resolution. I boot the installation DVD. It goes through the whole installation/upgrade process using /dev/sdb2 as the target boot disk. That is placed in the boot loader. After the initial boot, the target boot volume's name is changed to /dev/sbc2. I have had to manually modify the boot loader data so that the correct disk is loaded right away. Otherwise it times out, asks if it should find the volume by ID, and waits for input. After changing the target boot volume, the system boots normally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Upgrade an earlier version of openSuse to v12.x It may depend on the disk complement. Actual Results: As described above. These packages are: - dbus-sharp - dbus-sharp-glib - gio-sharp - gkeyfile-sharp - gstreamer-sharp - gtk-sharp-beans - gudev-sharp - libgpod - libimobiledevice - mono-addins - notify-sharp >From my humble perspective, with openSUSE 11.4 EOL (15th September 2012) my plan is the following: - Wipe the previous packages from the Banshee repository; - Wipe openSUSE 11.4 builds from the repository (as 11.4 support is terminated); - Keep only 3 packages on Banshee for the supported builds + banshee + banshee-community-extensions + taglib-sharp (no development upstream for a long time) Anyone has issues on this? If so, since no one is actually putting work on this repositories my suggestion is that those who have problems with this to maintain (copypac ?) a separate branch of Banshee in a repository such as Banshee:EOL. My availability for such task is non-existent, though I can continue to keep an eye for supported platforms on this repository. If none moves to support EOL platforms, this changes will become active on the 16th September 2012 00:01 GMT and non-supported platforms will be wiped. This fix seems to be working but I hope the dependency problem in rpm will be solved by the project maintainers... Some LCD screens has huge difficulties displaying it, rendering it almost undreadable. Whats up with using small differences between background and text color anyway :-) You actually used to have like term colors.
