The Patch 1.2.21-59.2, meant to fix some sort of directory traversals, breaks our functionality. Although most of the new rt2x00-drivers - which are using "wext"-extension with wpa_supplicant- are rather reliable since kernel 2.6.27/openSUSE 11.1, especially rt61pci seems to be problematic in some cases. Enabling the driver extension "ralink" by simply adding CONFIG_DRIVER_RALINK=y in .config-File for wpa_supplicant would give users a fallback if rt61pci or rt73usb fails. Of course, this possibility should be completely optional and the default should be "use drivers rt61pci and rt73usb with wpa-extension wext" but as implementing this fallback would be rather easy, I think it makes sense to offer this possibility to the users. Packages with those legacy-drivers (i.e. from http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Downloads - "Enhanced legacy drivers") could be provided within one of the inofficial OBS-repositories, for example this one http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/driver:/wireless/ which also contains madwifi-free as a "non officially supported but mature and known to work very well" alternative to officially supported drivers (ath5k/ath9k in this case). I could provide spec-files for rt61 and rt73 if there is interest in offering them via OBS. After editing the repository, they disappeared from Repositories and I found them listed under Services. When trying to refresh them they all errored about not repo/repoindex.html file found or something like that. I tried to add one back and it also landed under Services, where it also cannot refresh. I commented the env var in bash.bashrc.local and am able to re-add all my repositories (working on it). I will try to re-enable the variable after all my repositories are re-added as download.opensuse.org urls and see if downloading works then. I will add that info in a bit. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enable the variable, i.e create /etc/bash.bashrc.local with ZYPP_ARIA2C=1 as contents. 2.Open a konsole, su to root, check to make sure ZYPP_ARIIA2C=1 is in env, then yast2 inst_source & 3.Try to add or edit a repository, or refresh. Actual Results: If editing or adding, (it will move to Services) if refreshing, (it will fail). Expected Results: I more reliable download from a more reliable redirected mirror. Burned the image to a DVD. With KDE4 as the desktop at approximately 35%, installation brought up a security warning that an pre-built image hash value didn't match expected value. At this point aborted installation. Re-downloaded image again and burned to a new DVD. Problem was reproduced. After disabling the option to use pre-built images no errors were encountered and the installation was successful. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Downloaded openSUSE 11.1 x86-64 DVD iso image via torrent. 2. Compared MD5 hash of iso image with website value, they matched 3. Burned to disc, using different burning software (K3b and Brasero) 4. Restarted computer with installation DVD 5. Selected "Installation" 6. Selected "English (US)" language and keyboard layout 7. Selected "New Installation" 8. Selected "Canada" "Eastern" timezone 9. Selected "KDE 4.1" 10. Selected "Partition Based" 11. Created new user with "automatic login" 12. Default software options Actual Results: At approximately 35%, security warning is received about a bad image (it was a kde related). Expected Results: No bad images contained on official released DVD. Installation should not encountered errors. Disabling the use of prebuilt images on this step, will cause this error not to occur.
