Your help is needed here. libzypp implements some kind of progress callback that zypper uses to show the percentage of download completion. This should be done by YaST as well. With the size of the download known, the percentage could be used to show the downloaded size as well I guess (and download speed). In addition, we should prepare to make some download parameters configurable, like the number of used connections, aria2 log file, and switching to the "old" behaviour. (Just thought I'd mention it.) I might be able to give further input if needed. (This is feature https://features.opensuse.org/302923. The MediaAria2c.cc progress reporting is failing somehow. I guess Duncan is already looking into this? Is aria2 able to report all the info needed to get download rate (overall, since it can download a file from multiple locations, right?), as well as the percentage?
