With such a setting, hibernation will not be possible. I would assume that a size of at least the amount of RAM would be suggested. Up until (and including) openSUSE 12.2, this worked correctly, both with a KDE panel (it attaches to the bottom of the panel) and without (on a secondary screen, it attaches to the top of the screen). However, since I updated to openSUSE 12.3, the latter (secondary screen, no panel, attach to top) does not work anymore, instead, Yakuake consistenly leaves empty space above. This empty space corresponds to the height of the panel *on the other screen*. This happens everytime Yakuake is used. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Yakuake 2. Use hotkey (in my case F12) to get a Yakuake window 3. KDE System Settings > Power Management > "Monitor energy save after X minutes" (sorry I'm translating backwards so the exact wording may differ) If this setting is enabled, then after X minutes the monitor signal is gone (ok), and the machine is still working (for example, Samba shares are accessible). Then, move the mouse or touch the keyboard --> machine hangs. When the system boots the first time after phase 1, I get the message: connection1:0: detected conn error (1020) which appears to be a disconnect from the iSCSI target. After lots of trial&error, I ended up removing boot.iscsid-early from the boot-sequence, which got the installation going so I could complete phase2. Only to run into the very same problem again, except later in the boot-up. I decided to remove iscsid from the boot-sequence, and now it works. And when it comes to installing kernel updates or changing bootloader's configuration system starts trying to access floppy drive. It may be VERY slow process, because come floppy drives have really big timeout before reporting read error. In fact, on my it takes more than 1 minute for YaST to stop trying to access floppy on my computer. Everything worked fine in 12.1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. I also noticed that /dev/fd0 is mentioned as "other boot partition" in "bootloader" section in YaST. Changing this does not help. After the change to the correct location, I ran the terminal command: sudo /bin/systemctl enable /usr/lib/systemd/system/apcupsd.service And then restarted my PC. After the modification of the apcupsd.service file, apcupsd is working properly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install apcupsd & apcupsd-gui from yast 2. Edit the apc config file /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf to match your UPS 3. Restart PC to allow service to start 4. Find that it is not working for you.
