This is more like a snake biting its own tail. Log file is useless in debugging suspend-to-ram issues. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open console window, su to root 2. run pm-suspend, system suspends 3. wake system, open /var/log/pm-suspend.log Actual Results: opening file /var/log/pm-suspend.log in kwrite or Vim - observe what appears to be binary garbage at top of file. I successfully installed M2 on gx260 on Feb. 9. I spent several hours today trying to HTTP install Factory on t2240 using various combinations of textmode=1, nomodeset, i915modeset=1, acpi=off, noapic, nolapic, vga=normal, failsafe and maybe others I don't remember. After many failures, I tried on gx260 with & without nomodeset & x11failsafe, then gave up to file this. In every case except textmode, as soon as the GUI started, keyboard and mouse (both PS/2) were unable to produce any response. I spent about two hours trying to GUI HTTP install M2 factory-snapshot, both loading initrd & kernel with Grub, and using NET-Build0258: on cmdline with/without nomodeset, with/without radeon.modeset=0, with/without various video=, with/without various vga=, with/without x11failsafe, all in various combinations. Either the GUI would initialize to irrevocably putting the CRT to sleep, or not at all, starting YaST in whatever text mode was specified via vga= if present, or in 80x25 if not present.
