Summary: Gnome screensaver timing options are insufficient
Classification: openSUSE

In the Gnome control center (aka System Parameters), item "Screen", option
"Turn off after" has the following possible values:
1 minute
2 minutes
3 minutes
5 minutes
10 minutes
30 minutes
1 hour
Not being able to select values greater than 1 hour is a problem in practice:
I'm using a DVB client (me-tv) which fails to inhibit the screen-saver, so I
would like to be able to turn the screensaver off manually. But 1 hour is not
enough to watch a movie.
So having options "3 hours" and "Never" would be convenient. Please consider
adding these.
As a side note, the first 4 options are essentially the same, so if the idea
was to keep things simple, 2 or 3 of these should be dropped IMHO. Or if you
really think that this degree of control is desirable, then it might be more
convenient to just let the user type the amount freely and select the unit
(minutes or hours), instead of offering a limited and arbitrary list of
options.

Summary: Factory Kernel 3.4.0-3 is unable to mount btrfs during

Installing the 12.2 Beta 1 with a btrfs root file system did work fine but
after distupgrading to Factory a new Kernel (3.4.0-3) was installed which
prevented openSUSE from booting.
Interestingly btrfs.fsck did work fine according to the kernel messages but the
root file system btrfs was unknown.
The modules.dep could also not be loaded.
Since I had enabled "multiversions" for the Kernel I was still able to
successfully boot with the old Beta Kernel (Kernel 3.4.0-2).
