I will not skip /usr/share/sane/descriptions/unsupported.desc because even for scanners which are known to be unsupported there should be user access by default because the user might find and install a third-party driver. I did very little during installation - apart from tweaking partitioning & GRUB settings, it was otherwise pure default. Is there any log file that will be useful?
