Summary: Options for NIC are ignored
Product: SUSE Linux 10.1
Version: Final
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: AutoYaST
AssignedTo: ug(a)novell.com
ReportedBy: pgunreben(a)lucent.com
QAContact: qa(a)suse.de
Although, I have configured options for the NIC, these options seem to be
ignored by AutoYaST. The XML file has been generated using yast2 autoyast on a
SuSE 10.1 OS. Here's the section for the NIC kernel module:
<modules config:type="list">
<module_entry>
<device>static-0</device>
<module>tg3</module>
<options>line_speed=100 auto_speed=0 full_duplex=1</options>
</module_entry>
</modules>
In the installed computer, I found the file
/etc/sysconfig/hardware/hwcfg-bus-pci-0000:02:00.0
with the following content:
MODULE='tg3'
MODULE_OPTIONS=''
STARTMODE='auto'
I suspect that the NIC options should be written to this file, shouldn't they?

Summary: Konqueror crashes when starting a download manually that

Hi,
I found following problem in Konqueror:
When I for example want to download following project from sourceforge:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gimp-print/gutenprint-5.0.0.tar.bz2?down…
I klick on a mirror
Afterward I get redirected to a page with following text:
"Your download should begin shortly. If it does not, try
http://puzzle.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gimp-print/gutenprint-5.0.0.ta…
or choose a different mirror"
If I klick on the link mentioned in above notice before the popup window that
would show up automatically shows up a 2nd download window will open.
Now when you klick cancel on both windows konqueror will crash.

Summary: YCP (yast2-core) - Reference to Integer doesn't work
Product: openSUSE 10.2

See this example:

void ChangeInteger (integer & in) {

in = 2;
}
integer in1 = 1;
y2milestone("Old Integer: %1", in1);
ChangeInteger(in1);
y2milestone("New Integer: %1", in1);
}
It should work but ycpc reports:
parsing 'ref_int.ycp'
ref_int.ycp:4 [Parser] type mismatch in assignment
ref_int.ycp:4 [Parser] Expected 'integer &', seen 'const integer'.
Error
This works for 'map' and 'string' (both tested), I hope it works for the other
types as well.

Hi,
The ktorrent v. >=2.0 packages still have DHT disabled, although it is no
longer experimental. This can be found in the SUSE 10.2 or in the packages
provided in KDE:/Backports for 10.1/.
I think it is safe to remove the patch that disables DHT.

Summary: Can't access the Exchange Global Address List
Product: SUSE Linux 10.1
Version: Final
Platform: i686
OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1
Status: NEW

Component: Evolution
AssignedTo: kharish(a)novell.com

QAContact: anagappan(a)novell.com
I've been using Evolution's Exchange plugin for a couple of months without
problem, except I can't access the Exchange Global Address List, and I can't
set permissions for others to access my calendar. I believe, though, that the
permissions problem is actually just a result of the fact that I can't access
the Global Address List.
When I click on Global Address List in Evolution's Contacts window, I get an
error popup saying "Error loading addressbook. We were unable to open this
addressbook. This either means you have entered an incorrect URI or the server
is unreachable."
>From tcpdump and the server logs, we can see that Evolution does, in fact,
communicate with the server and authenticate successfully, but I still don't
get access. Is there any debugging output on my end that I can check for
clues? FYI, I tried installing the patched Evolution 2.6.0 mentioned in bug
#179483, but I got the same message.

Summary: Switching session: music keeps playing
Product: openSUSE 10.2

Status: NEW

Priority: P5 - None
Component: KDE
AssignedTo: kde-maintainers(a)suse.de

Goodday,
the thing I think I have found can be similar for Gnome but I am not sure.
Tagged as an KDE-thing for that matter.
When you switch to another session, the music from the old session keeps
playing. In a system with more then 1 user that can be very annoying. I play
music with some louder beats and if my mom wants to work she likes Mozart
(theoretical situation cause I live on my own ;-) ). Sound of session 1 should
be muted when in session 2. Mozart mixed with Tiesto is not what I use to call
music.
Don't know if there should be an option to mute it when locking the session but
I guess that is not needed. I always lock the PC when I walk away but music may
still play. (I want it to)
