Both jEdit 4.3pre7 (a programmer's editor -- <http://jedit.org/>) and <oXygen/> 7.2 (an XML editor -- <http://www.oxygenxml.com/>) report "No print service found." when printing is attempted (this is true for both the "Page Setup" and "Print" commands). (Eclipse does not enable its Print command. It's unknown whether this is related.) The symptom appears to be 100% reproducible. There is no perceptible delay in receiving this response. I have configured a remote CUPS printer and can successfully print to that printer from other applications. To reproduce: Launch a Java application that supports printing. Issue its "Page Setup" command (if any) or its "Print" command. For the LONGTMP-directory (presumably this could be /var/tmp), there is no such fine tuning possible, like e.g. "OWNER_TO_KEEP_IN_LONGTMP". However, this drawer is completely filled up on my computer, I cannot even summarily delete files as bash complains about a too long argument. Morever, there are some files in this drawer I don't want to be deleted, especially the KDE cache for my user ID (Favicons and so on). I would like to have some setting to selectively clean the LONGTMP, too. But looking in a problem with another guy I saw this: - I understand that the default gateway can be set by DHCP - Since in /etc/sysconfig/network/dhcp I have by default 'DHCLIENT_SET_DEFAULT_ROUTE="yes"' I suppose that Suse really uses the default gateway that the server sets. - When you use DHCP, in the DNS YaST2 module you have the options "Change Hostname via DHCP" and "Update Name Servers and Search List via DHCP" - When you use DHCP, in the routing YaST2 module you can set the default gateway bbut there isn't any "Update Default Gateway via DHCP" option. So the problem is that the lack of an "Update Default Gateway via DHCP" option when there is the equivalent for DNS is confusing. What an user should think? That default gateway can't be set via DHCP? If he knows is possible he probably will think that Suse isn't able to do it. What if the user doesn't wants to set the default gateway via DHCP but wants to set via DHCP the other network parameters? Trying to set another icon set in KDE Control Center has no effect. Changes are "accepted" and "updating settings" (or something line that) pupup/progress window shows up and goes away. But, the icon set remains unchanged. 2. (Probably related) Choosing an icon in DigiKam for a tag crashes DigiKam. (See http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133944) Judging by other issues, this is probably not DigiKam bug. 3. (Probably not related, but who knows...) I have auto-login for one of the users. Ever since the latest upgrade, on cold-boots, instead of the kde session, I get an X-term-like window with message complaining that something like "KDEInit.... failed to start". Clicking ok, getting back to KDM and logging the same user in, gets me to the normal KDE desktop. Apparently a case of "speeding up KDE start up" gone bad. I would gladly provide some logs or other info, if I knew where to look.
