- I've decided to join the OOo team. They had been trying to get me for quite some time and I've eventually concluded that it fits better my skill set than this team and I hope I free up a slot for somebody who'll do better work here than me. I will still try to help the openSUSE KDE team as time and motivation permit, but quite frankly it's been a bumpy ride since the KDE4.0 times for many reasons and I could use doing some pure C++ hacking for some time. - Worked on preparing for my openSUSE conference talks, most importantly the obs generator. - I've run by chance into http://ispras.linux-foundation.org/index.php/ABI_compliance_checker , a tool that can check ABI stability between two versions of libraries. According to http://linuxtesting.org/upstream-tracker/ many libraries that claim ABI stability actually screw up from time to time, probably because nobody actually bothers to repeatedly check. Since the build service is such a nice tool that can automate or ease tasks, I tested the tool a bit and I have a setup in home:llunak:abi:kde that can be used quite easily to check packages before each new release. Ongoing - got out of the responsible position for the openFATE sprint. Meego sprint?

Hi, I don't know when people started talking about getting Moblin, and then Meego in openSUSE, but it still hasn't happened. Andrew is working on this, but some people need to help him. Else, I'm afraid we'll release 11.4 in the same state. Would it make sense to have one sprint on Meego? Do we have hardware that we could use for that? Hi, AJ and Michl asked me to update the statistics for 11.4, so I ran my script again to check the overall usage. So see attached a little plot on the IPs accessing the update repos. The IPs are always counted with the smallest version per week, so if you have a 11.0 and 11.3 at home and update them a week (it's enough to check for updates), it's counted as 11.0. Please don't make the mistake trying any guesses on what this means for installations - the way we count only allows to allows update trends / migration speed for those doing regular updates. Egbert's Week 36 ================ [GREEN] - Found a workaround for BNC#635177 - this bug exposed a design flaw in Intel's KMS driver. Fixing this would require some restructuring of the entire SDVO output handling. - Got openFATE server running on local system (thanks Tom :) ) Played around some. - Tested and submitted updates for BNC#598422 for SLES11 and SLES11 SP1 submitted patchinfo. - Some more patches consolidation.
