Hi, What I did last week: + openSUSE-GNOME: - some support around GNOME:STABLE:2.32, that lead me to fixes a few issues there. It's not easy to install, apparently :/ - participated in a team meeting about what the team should do during the openSUSE conference. - worked on dropping the last bits of SuSEconfig usage in GNOME packages. This included fixing gdm for passwordless login, writing macros for desktop-file-utils, shared-mime-info. + openSUSE: - review the updated strategy and add many comments - played with rpmlint a bit and wrote rpmlint checks to make sure packages use the new rpm macros in GNOME + upstream: - released tarballs for GNOME 2.91.0 - hacked a bit on various things upstream for GNOME 3 (was one of the first person to port an application from pygtk to pygobject + introspection) - finish and send the proposal about moduleset reorganization: the release team wants to reorganize what we release as GNOME, and to be a bit more inclusive at the same time + misc: - read and participated to a long internal thread - took time to think about my talks in the next few weeks - grew older What I plan to do this week: + write talks for JDLL and openSUSE conference. Or, pretend to. Hola, What I did last week: + missed the team meeting :/ I was deep in release management mode... + released GNOME 2.32.0: - handled the release upstream. Even though it was smaller than usual (since a lot of changes were kept in branches for 3.0), it took some time. I released something like 20-25 tarballs myself, and pinged people to fix last-minute issues. - helped integrate 2.32.0 in GNOME:Factory. We had 2.32.0 available before the official release this way, and it was really useful for me to find broken tarballs this way. - created GNOME:STABLE:2.32 for people to go crazy and provide a easy-to-use backport for 11.3. + handled a few security issues. + created a spec-cleaner package at the request of various people. I need to blog about this tool, it's really handy. + filled performance review + updated GNOME patterns after discussion within the GNOME team + helped one upstream maintainer move to openSUSE. Yay! :-) What I plan to do this week: + I thought I could take a break upstream, but the GNOME 3 work is already urgent... Hello, Next month on 13th and 14th November is in Oberhausen an Linux event called OpenRheinRuhr. http://openrheinruhr.de/ Its the second edition of this event, last year it was in Bottrop and this year it will be in Oberhausen at Rheinisches Industriemuseum.
