How does 7.1 mount the FAT partition to /boot during installation ?

I have finally received a set of cd's for 7.1 (mar 9 build) but I am unable to get the installation to create and/or mount a FAT partition to /boot so that the system can actually boot after installation. I have tried reformatting the disk and letting the installation partition the disk (it only creates a linux and linux-swap partition) I tried installing with a 150 MB formatted FAT partition on the disk prior to installation and letting the installation create partitions in all cases there is either no FAT partition or the one I created prior to installation is empty How do I get this to work? Hi! I have what is possibly a really stupid question. I just finished installing SuSE 7.1 for ia-64 on a lion sdv with 4 B3 stepping processors, with the bios at 71. During the install, I chose the qwerty/us keymap. I also tested EVERY key, and they all worked properly. After completing the install and rebooting, the key map is not working correctly. All of the symbols are mixed up, and a couple of the letters are reversed. For example, the y key gives a z, and the z key gives a y. Has this happened to anyone else? And what can I do to fix it? INFO: installing sgicc

Hi on suse-ia64 The sgicc binaries are ia32 cross compiler binaries wich run the itanium in ia32 compatibility mode, so to get sgicc binary distribution running you need to install i386 libraries. Probleme mit SaX / Rage128RK

Hello on suse-ia64 I just installed 7.1 for ia64 on my lion system without major problems but raid autodetect being off in the given kernel. Now I'd like to use SaX to configure my Rage128RK but it is not able to start the framebuffer device. When I add aty128fb manually to the modules.conf and start saX, the system changes graphics mode displays a mess of pixels and locks up totally. When I use saX -s XF64_SVGA SaX starts, but fonts are missing in the dialog boxes and menus.
