Image checksum fails due to writing image to wrong device.

Hi everyone! I was about to try out the new image when i got the checksum failed after the image had been extracted on my eeepc. When i pop my usb stick back in to another computer i noticed that theres a new partition on it? The installer gives me /dev/sda as the only alternative, but its seems like the image is extraced to the usb drive instead of the netbook one. Hi Jan, Unfortunately that is indeed the case. We are working on a live installable image, but it isn't quite ready yet. A vary loose workaround is to install the image to either an SD card or another USB stick. You would need at least 4GB but more would be better. odd openSUSE / Moblin live image issue ...

Hi Marcus, Any idea how to debug the build problems with: Moblin:Images/Image-opensuse-live ? I do a: osc build --clean --no-verify openSUSE_11.1 i586 suse-moblin-rescue.kiwi and ... it fails, but without any particularly obvious errors - which is odd :-) "Running build " <nothing> ... We use the latest Virtualization:Appliances repo, and we try to build vs. the isoboot/suse-11.2 target (with an 11.1 system) - I forget why, prolly to avoid aufs or somesuch. hal in Moblin:Base for openSUSE:Factory broken

I tried fixing the hal version in Moblin:UI so that it builds on openSUSE:Factory but failed miserably, the problem are the lib/lib64 changes. We need to get this one working so that x86-64 packages build for Factory. Could somebody look into it? Or could we update to the Factory version of hal - or would that break 11.1 based builds? Goblin on PentiumM

Hi, I am new on the list, but hope I can help in some way along the journey. I have an Asus R2Hv which has a PentiumM processor - it does not have SSE3 support (only SSE2). Can I install one of the images for the eee701 and then add the Moblin repositories? Also, which Xorg is being used? I tried this machine with the standard 11.1, but Xorg fails on the intel driver. It seems a fix has been made upstream, but isn't available in Xorg 7.4. The R2Hv has an Intel Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML graphics controller with a 7" 800x480 display. Is there a live image I can try before installing? Sometimes it logon to the previous session, this time it only brought back the gdm login screen. Greg, Yes they should and will be. I'm currently trying to get the 1Click pattern sorted, and the last thing todo is try and find a way of not having the user go through and choose dependency resolution options. Ideally this would be taken care of. Once that is done I'll remove the 1Click from the :UI repo and see if we can get it added to the :Factory one. Installing the image to an already installed system

Could someone advise as to how one can install the image to an already installed system? At the moment if one has a vanilla openSUSE or Goblin installed the image installer exits complaining that the system is already installed. The only way I can install a new image is to install some crud like UNR and then install Goblin, not ideal by any stretch of the imagination.
