Live image booting issue

Aloha all, After some head banging. and some big help from the likes of Jigish Gohill (cyberorg) I am able to build a live image[0], this is a hybrid iso meaning it can be burnt to wither CD/DVD disc or USB disk. Don't get your hopes up though, it has a major issue which I'm struggling to fix, which is the reason for my email. At present the image boots up well until just after starting the hal daemon. The screen then goes black and I can't get any form of terminal up what so ever, this bit really makes it hard to debug as I can't get to any logs or anything to try and work out what is falling over. So my question I suppose is: does anyone know how best to debug this issue, I'm not sure whether it is Xorg at fault or GDM or something completely different. Any help would be most appreciated. New Goblin image uploaded

I've put up a working, and latest, Goblin image that can be installed with at: http://forgeftp.novell.com/moblin/raw/ I've dated the image this time as well, which I didn't do last time, sorry about that. The image installs the Moblin:Factory repo as a zypper repo so that you can then just update and not need to install a full image anymore. I also updated the Goblin wiki page to point to the image. Issues with bluetooth

I know I mentioned it on IRC the other day, but at the time I thought I had resolved the issues. I found out this weekend that I hadn't resolved anything :( My machine is an Asus eeePC 1000HE which has bluetooth builtin, but for some reason the bluetoothd damon doesn't run automatically and I have to run it by hand. That is unless I plugin an external adapter, then the daemon runs fine and I can see both adapters. One of the issues of manually running bluetoothd is that the desktop background gets replaced with the MyZone wallpaper and I effectively get the standard GNOME desktop (as if I have switched DEs and selected GNOME). So before I file a bug, has anyone else encoutered these or similar issues using bluetooth? Image checksum fails due to writing image to wrong device.

Hi everyone! I was about to try out the new image when i got the checksum failed after the image had been extracted on my eeepc. When i pop my usb stick back in to another computer i noticed that theres a new partition on it? The installer gives me /dev/sda as the only alternative, but its seems like the image is extraced to the usb drive instead of the netbook one. Hi Jan, Unfortunately that is indeed the case. We are working on a live installable image, but it isn't quite ready yet. A vary loose workaround is to install the image to either an SD card or another USB stick. You would need at least 4GB but more would be better. odd openSUSE / Moblin live image issue ...

Hi Marcus, Any idea how to debug the build problems with: Moblin:Images/Image-opensuse-live ? I do a: osc build --clean --no-verify openSUSE_11.1 i586 suse-moblin-rescue.kiwi and ... it fails, but without any particularly obvious errors - which is odd :-) "Running build " <nothing> ... We use the latest Virtualization:Appliances repo, and we try to build vs. the isoboot/suse-11.2 target (with an 11.1 system) - I forget why, prolly to avoid aufs or somesuch.
