Swithing off all power sources solves the problem. Unfortunately it is still not solved in way of patch that can be downloaded by SuSE Update (openSUSE 10.2). Is there any chance that someone will do that soon? There`s nothing left to do than just waiting i guess. Unfortunately my knowledge about C++, ASM, kernel source etc. is too much poor to be helpful (i`m PHP and Java programmer), but it would be great to get some smart manuals or howtos. (IIRC, they currently share the dialog with the main product.) For Add-Ons, the text should read (last line): .. or do you want not to install this Add-On? and the right button should be: .. This always fails as this particular mirror doesn't have AMD64 updates as there is no rpm/x86_64/ directory. Problem 1: this sends users down a dead end. Untrained users wouldn't know they have to register again to have a chance to fix this automatically (or enter an update source manually). Problem 2: within a short time, Novell deliberately returns the same mirror to the same user, with good reason (to keep update sources consistent). And was fixed again for the next release or update kernel. And reappeared again...
