I've tested it with various samsung, maxtor, seagate and wd hdds and also with two SATAPI ODDs (LG and plextor). Then, I downloaded knoppix 5.0.1 and diffed the kernel (it's mostly stock 2.6.17). There is no relevant change. I really wanna fix this but am stuck hard here. Where are you? Can you ship your controller and the problematic harddisk to me?
