The APR_HAS_UNICODE_FS in libapr1 is a Windows-only thing. In mod_autoindex is the only place where httpd uses the define. Would it help to first make "text/html;charset=utf-8" the default, and then try to add AddDirectoryIndexCharset upstream? Description: I have this problem using 2 PCs (let's name them Linux and XP). When I started the (damned) Linux Installation yesterday they were not connected. This morning I installed a switch because it was annoying to plug/unplug keyboard, mice and monitor everytime. Few minutes ago I switched from XP to Linux right in that moment when the Installation Menu was appearing and for my big surprise the keyboard worked. At this point I wanted to go to the bottom of this phenomenon. I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and ... it didn't work. Then i remembered my actions before and found this solution/workaraound. Solution/Workaround: For some reason it works if the keyboard is disconnected until the Installation Menu appears, then connect the keyboard and everything works fine. So the symptom is solved and I hope this will help you to fix the fundamental problem. For third-party applications, the preferred way to read the models.dat file is to use the hplip_api. The hplip_api can be used to get model attributes without running the HPLIP daemons.
