I don't want you to change the mounting-concept of HAL. I only proposed to set "volume.ignore=false" for partitions listet with user/users in fstab. That would make them visible in Konqueror (as before) and anyone who wants to hide her/his partitions could delete the option user/users or even the entire line from fstab.
