Booting a lenovo T440s with this image results in several bus error messages on the initial greeting screen. KMix, krunner, and KWin repeatedly fail. The details view always identifies a Bus error Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1". Cannot switch virtual consoles. Cannot otherwise use the system after clicking away the Messages. No GUI elements visible. See attached screenshot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Boot into live system. Wait. Actual Results: System is unusable. Error popups are shown. This results in an inconsistency when asystem is upgraded using "zypper dup" As the license files in /etc/YaST2/licenses/base are not owned by a package the licenses are not updated along with the rest of the distribution. However, adding it gives a quite generic error message: could not be added. Additionally, this site: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/banshee gives an error message as well. Is the repo still used? Either fix it or delete it from the preset community repos. Seems like it is simply contained in GNOME:Apps. But the Spanish translations for some modules of yaST are missing. The general yaST page is Ok, but when you enter into the modules, the English version is loaded. This happens in the following modules: 1.- Additional products (Interface and description) 2.- Media Check (Interface and description) 3.- Online Update (Interface in Spanish, but no Spanish translation for packages being updated) 4.- Software Manager (Interface in Spanish, but no Spanish translations for some packages) 5.- Software Repositories (Interface and descriptions)... .. Well, I could go on, but except for Online Update and Software Manager, the rest of the modules are still in English. This is happening both in yaST for KDE (x86-64), and in my small laptop where I've also installed openSUSE 13.1 - this time with xfce and i586. This help file is in fact for the DVD iso, not the live. It differs in a number of significant details: Welcome to opensuse 13.1........ blah blah.... options are: Boot from Hard disk (This is option 4 on the liveUSB) Installation Installation-ACPI Disabled (NOT THERE!) Installation-Local APIC Disabled (NOT THERE!) Installation-Safe settings (NOT THERE!) Rescue System (NOT THERE!) Firmware Test. (NOT THERE!) Memory Test The install options, APIC, ACPI and Safe-settings are in fact under F4 in the Live-USB screen. Rescue and Firmware check do not exist at all. Then it goes on to list what should happen when we press the various Fx keys from this screen. F2 and F3 are fine but F4 it tells us that this should offer "Install Source" options. It does not, as above it offers the various fallback boot options, APIC ACPI etc F6 should be "Driver install" but does not exist at all. (I have booted to a Net-Install USB before, and the Firmware/Rescue options are there on-screen. The firmware test fails, but gives no advice about what this might mean.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot to live KDE iso 2.Hit F1 3. Actual Results: inappropriate help file displayed, help is for DVD, not for the Live iso.
