Un-setting the checkbox and rebooting resulted in X11 forwarding failing. sshd emits a message to /var/log/messages upon an attempt to login with 'ssh -X': sshd[11290]: error: Failed to allocate internet-domain X11 display socket. This is manually correctable by editing /etc/ssh/sshd_config, enabling option 'AddressFamily inet' instead of 'any' and restarting sshd. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Disable IPV6 in yast2 network settings 2.Reboot 3.use 'ssh -X' to login from a remote system and run xclock (or similar) Actual Results: X11-forward fails : tested by attempting to run xclock Client receives message saying 'Error: Can't open display:' $DISPLAY is not present /var/log/messages contains error message from sshd: sshd[11290]: error: Failed to allocate internet-domain X11 display socket. Now, I'm going to set both YaST and KDE to turn Num Lock ON, and I'm sure I'll be fine after that. Some newer machines allow setting a max. battery charge in BIOS. The KDE battery status icon (system tray) then shows "80%, charging..." indefinitely. It would be great if there were a root-level (--> YaST module) or user-level (--> KDE) setting to limit battery charge to a maximum, say, 80%. Maybe you can find more details in the attached pk_backend_zypp log. But openSUSE plugin-finder does not find a plugin. The finder seems to hang. But a proper plugin can easily be installed with YAST. I installed the xine-browser-plugin with YAST and that's it. I think users with small experience would not be able to solve this problem.
