It is used by sveral computers. Wi-Fi connection to Internet through this router does not work after boot on openSUSE 11.4. The cannection becomes established, shows IP address, access point MAC address, the signal level is high. But Internet is unaccessible with traceroute returns "the host is unreachable" message. If to restart the interface under root with ifdown wlan0 ifup wlan0 all works well. If to disable the automatic start of the interface and start it manually with ifup wlan0, nothing changes: the interface still does not work after first start. In 11.3 the device shows up in less than a second in knetworkmanager, but with 11.4 RC1 this process takes probably more than a minute. (Moreover some devices do not work at all anymore: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=673992 ) In addition, a new crash condition appeared in kde networkmanagement ( https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258852 / https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=266818 ) This doesn't happen with openSUSE 11.3 despite using the same KDE component versions. Want to download from Internet via WIFI. When I disconnect eth0 in NetworkManager, wireless networks are shown as deactivated. rfkill doesn't affect the status. Also, it's not possible to enable wireless, because the button is deactivated. Detaching / reattaching the cable isn't really the solution... This occurs apparently mainly during editing work, e.g. of mails in Thunderbird. Sometimes this happens also in other circumstances , e.g. during entering requested data in templates.I can still move the mouse pointer, but i cannot trigger any action with it, e.g. setting cursor or clicking on buttons or on close-, maximizing-, minimizing buttonds of opened applications. When error occurs during editing a mail, the text background is colored while moving the mouse pointer, but i am not able to activate the cursor again at the required test position. Any other manual activity still seems to be possible. I still can move select menue items by moving the up/down/left/right position keys. Further i can invoke the logoff/shutdown selection facility by ALT CNTL Del keys. This enables me to logoff the KDE session and re-logon. During logoff i receive a request to save edited content. The saving can be done also by moving the position keys accordingly. After logoff (not shutdown) and re-logon KDE4 the mouse is ok. This workaround works in the most cases, but in seldom cases data are still lost, when during logoff the text background is filled with color (means "delete it!). Error didnt occur during OPENSUSE <= 11.3. I use VAIO VGN CS11S with NVIDIA drivers. Install of NVIDIA drivers from NVIDIS webside does not remove the error. During error, i also cannot use the "mouse substitute keys" at the laptop. Also using another USB connection doesn't help. I use DuaL Boot with Windows Vista. Error doesn't occur when working with Vista. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.I havent found a method to reproduce the error. following happens: 1.) Mouse still ok. Cursor is at a specific location within the textfile. 2.) Error happens at this cursor position: When moving the cursor from this cursor position in forward or backward direction, the textline parts covered by the cursor movement (NOT the whole text!) are filled with a background color. In normal cases this happens if i press the left mouse button, just for copy and paste. 3.) Beginning at this moment, it is not possible to localize the cursor at a different position. Please open a bug report. Two similar lines appear during system shutdown: of course, I don't have them before my eyes now. I suppose they are issued by ifdown. Additional info: /sbin/ifup is part of the package sysconfig version 0.75.4-2.7.1-x86_64 installed from vendor openSUSE. dsl0_s0_0 is my ADSL line, connected via pppoe (Phone cable <=> DSL splitter <=> DSL cable <=> DSL Modem <=> Ethernet cable <=> Computer [GigabitEthernet interface]). AFAICT there are no ill effects other than the warning message; I'm using that interface to submit this bug report.
