That is wrong for several reasons: - the space may not coincide with the width of an ASCII space (U+0020) - U+2002 is not a stop character, so trying to mark words with the mouse will mark multiple words - copy-and-paste is useless in the sense that the paste target will have U+2002 instead of the desired ASCII space, leading to all sorts of strange errors. For a example see this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHebU0JU_zo But with the obsolete version libTheora 3.2.1 (UTC 2008-10-20) from the openSUSE 11.2 standard repository (package name: libtheora-1.0.0) it works, and the output is fluently. So there must be a bug everywhere (libtheora, recordmydesktop, opensuse...). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install latest libtheora0 package from the standard repository. 2.record screen with the latest recordmydesktop version. 3.watch output. Actual Results: The output is not fluently, looks like too little FPS. The log has an error udev[553] error binding udev control socket. if I init 2 boot.udev stop boot.udev start init 3 the system will start sufficiently to connect to the network and make changes. Resizing all other windows I tested so far works fine. Also I can work with Konsole. Only resizing this particular window crashes KDE. I just installed openSUSE 12.1 RC1 on a fresh partition. Only changes so far: I complied and installed the proprietary drivers for my Broadcom WiFi chip and the newest ATI Catalyst driver from the official AMD homepage. BTW: Resizing windows with the VESA driver works but the contents of the windows become corrupted. I used openSUSE 11.4 up until today with no such errors in any way. I attached the output of /var/log/messages from the time the crash happens. If you need further information, let me know. Thanks! Björn Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. I am experiencing /significant/ data loss issues when the laptop crashes or hangs. Specifically, I'm seeing files that should have been written *minutes* ago disappear. rpms that I have installed claim they don't exist -- but the files do and they're all 0 bytes - and rpm -Va and rpm -ql know about them. rpm database corruption. Missing files (esp. KDE config files). I am using the *exact* same setup that I've been using for a few years now: ext4 on top of lvm on top of LUKS. I've had more data loss in the last 2 weeks than I've had in 2 years, and I'm not sure what the problem is: the Intel 320 SSD? The new kernel (3.0.4 as of this writing)? The drive: INTEL SSDSA2BW16 Laptop: Lenovo T520i. I'm not using any special mount options or anything. LUKS (and DM) don't support TRIM, so that's not it. barriers are enabled. data=ordered is the mount mode.
