I.e. I branched, did the changes, and now wanted to write the patchinfo: % cd home:matz2:branches:openSUSE:11.3:Update:Test/gcc45 % osc patchinfo This command must be called in a checked out project. Aha, okay, strange, but whatever... % cd .. % osc patchinfo Created ... [something with _patchinfo in it] ... .. edit edit, quit ... % ls gcc45/ _patchinfo:/ Huh? Now there's a package named '_patchinfo:' ? % ls _patchinfo:/ _patchinfo Ah okay, still strange, but as long as it works, what do I care. Let's check it in: % osc ci WARNING: validator directory /usr/lib/osc/source_validators configured, but not existing. Skipping ... Sending _patchinfo Transmitting file data . Committed revision 2. Fine. Everything worked. Or not. Looking at build.opensuse.org I now indeed see the strange '_patchinfo:' package, containing only one file. It is in 'broken' state (no wonder, it's not really a package, with say, an spec file). So, how's this supposed to work? I'm most probably not supposed to submitreq this package into the Update:Test repo, am I? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a link to a package in a different project 2. Make some changes to it. 3. In the "sources" tab, select "diff and submit these changes back" 4. Enter a comment 5. Check to make sure the target is correct 6. Press "Submit" Actual Results: It goes back to the package information. At the top of the page is a red box containing the text "Please provide a target for the submit request" Expected Results: It submits the request. I tried this in two different projects with 6 different packages linked from three other projects. So I assume the check is based on percentage of disk/partition usage and not on actual available disk/partition space. This check is then wrong: On a disk/partition with 2 TB you will need a available disk/partition space of 20 GB where you need only 100 MB on a 10 GB disk/partition ... If this check is/will be based on actual available space you must: - build does not work on a completely full filesystem + Less than $MIN_SPACE are available on the partition the build root is running. The build process will be aborted. A first attempt can be list each available 'source service' with its specific parameters. (Advanced users can deduce them then ...) In general all services must be described as detailed as possible to use such a tool efficient.
