Without the manufacturer section the wlan pcmcia card can not be recognized by the system (not displayed by Yast). According to US-robotics ndiswrapper was the only way to make use of this card. Is there any way to add the manufacturers section manually? As a workaround I start the attached script, which check the adapter state every 3 seconds and update the HAL variables, in the "boot.local" file. My computer: Toshiba Satellite L300-11E. The bug started from OpenSUSE 10.3 and still persistent in 11.4. By the way, I use KDE 3.5, though it has nothing to do with PowerDevil etc. It indeed the HAL problem, which is checked by means of "lshal". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Turn on the computer with battery inserted. 2. Plug/Unplug the AC connector and see that neither the active scheme nor the adapter state information changes. 3. Check the contents of the files "/proc/acpi/ac_adapter/ADP0/state" and "/sys/class/power_supply/ADP0" and make sure that they are updated properly. 4. When I'm scrolling through a file with less or vi, sometimes many lines don't paint. At first I thought this may be a problem with screen, but when I moved the mouse out of the window and the window lost focus, the window repainted with the correct data. I have 'focus follows under mouse' configured. I've also gotten it happen by running a command on the command line, rpm -q --info screen, several times in a row. I just upgraded opensuse from 11.3 to 11.4. I'm using kde-4.6.0. Xserver is xorg-x11-server-7.6_1.9.3-15.18.4.x86_64 My display card is 'Broadway XT [Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series]'. It also happened in this details text window while scrolling with the mouse. My suggestion is to include the oxygen-icon-theme-large package to the first update since first openSuse live CD installation by default. The artwork is really great and openSUSE is used by a lot of people that consider OpenSUSE the KDE Linux distro, isn't fair having resized icons in dolphin when we have a perfect icons in all dimensions in repositories! Don't enter other data. 4.b Enter valid url that does not contain a file. Actual Results: Browser is redirected to "OBS Web Interface Error". if followed 4.a page shows "Message: Sorry, not found" if followed 4.b page shows "Message: undefined method `to_xs' for nil:NilClass" Expected Results: A flash message should inform the user for the invalid input. The form for adding sources should remain.
