Both come up short, when i try to start the nfsserver: the message from the system is: Starting kernel based NFS server: idmapd failed having a look at bootup, it seems that it also fails to start at boottime. if i manually start rpc.nfsd rpc.mountd and do an exportfs -a the exports work.... so i guess it is some sort of error in the script /etc/init.d/nfsserver also i tried doing some settings in /etc/sysconfig/nfs for example i did try: NFS4_SUPPORT="no" and NFS_START_SERVICES="yes" i always restarted the whole machine to see whether it worked now, but with no success... i must admit, as i am not too much into programming and scripting i did hit a dead end here. one more thing, the path i am trying to export is called /u and it is a separate partition: maybe this is important also.... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. fresh install of opensuse11.4 with all updates 2. setup nfsserver via yast 3. enable nfs and nfsserver via the runlevel editor in yast Actual Results: from any other machine the automounter or the command mount -t nfs vvblx12:u /mount/v12 fails... You can change this name, but if you have several POP3 / SMTP accounts in the end you always have one domain name for all message ids. It would be nice if you could change the message id on a per smtp account basis. Claws email for example can do this, Claws mail can make the email address be part of the message id. This is in the end what I would like to have. The email address being part of the message id allows for powerful filters when you use mailing lists. So I would suggest the SMTP server settings get an additional field that 1st lets you chose the domain name and 2nd lets you add user chosen characters to the message id´s first part before the at sign. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have several POP3 / SMTP accounts and use KMail 2.x 2. Send an email 3. Look at the message id. In the later builds of KDE 4.6.3 and now in KDE 4.6.4 kcalc is crushing X. When I open kcalc, set it to scientific mode and want to set the constants the screen turns black and X crashes just in the moment when the dialog pop up where the predefined constants (e.g. thermodynamic ...) could be selected. X restarts then and get me to the login screen.
